How To Find Your Size — Kikkies Size Guide
Getting the right size makes all the difference. Our pieces are designed to fit your body precisely — which means your measurements matter more than the label you're used to. Follow these steps before every order.
Step 1 What you need
- A soft measuring tape (the kind used for sewing — not a metal ruler)
- A mirror, or a friend to help
- Form-fitting underwear or a thin layer — nothing bulky
Don't have a measuring tape? Use a piece of string, mark where it meets, then measure the string against a ruler.
Step 2 Take your measurements
Measure directly against your body. Keep the tape snug but not tight — you should be able to slide one finger underneath.
Bust Stand straight. Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, just above the nipples. Keep it horizontal all the way around. Breathe out naturally before reading the number.
Waist Find the narrowest point of your torso — usually a few centimetres above your belly button. Wrap the tape around and read the number without pulling it tight.
Hips Stand with your feet together. Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your hips and bottom — usually about 20 cm below your waist. Make sure the tape is level all the way around.
Step 3 Write your numbers down
| Measurement | Your size (cm) |
|---|---|
| Bust | |
| Waist | |
| Hips |
Keep these numbers somewhere easy to find. You'll use them every time you order.
Step 4 Match your measurements to the size chart
Go to the size chart on the product page you're ordering from. Match each of your measurements to the columns. Use the largest measurement to determine your size — if your bust fits a M but your hips fit a L, order the L.
Step 5 Apply the fit advice
Every Kikkies product page includes a Size + Fit note. Read it before ordering. It will tell you:
- Whether the fabric has stretch or not
- Whether the style runs small
- Whether to size up
General rule: if you're between two sizes, always go up.
Our pieces are designed to look their best when the fit is right — not when it's being stretched to work.
A note on our sizing
Kikkies sources from European and international manufacturers. Garment labels (S, M, L, XL) do not always correspond directly to standard European clothing sizes — they reflect the actual measurements of each garment. Always check the cm measurements on the size chart, not just the label.
This is especially important if you're a size EU 42 and above. Our size charts are designed to be honest about what each garment fits — not to hide limitations behind vague labels.
Still unsure?
If you've taken your measurements and you're still not sure which size to order, email us at [info@kikkies.com] with your bust, waist and hip measurements and the product you're ordering. We'll tell you exactly which size to choose.
We'd rather spend two minutes helping you get it right than have you receive something that doesn't fit.
